Frank H. Hansen, 71, died Friday, August 14, 2009 at Riverview Manor in Flandreau. Frank was born December 9, 1937 in Flandreau, SD to Otto and Minna (Siefert) Hansen. He attended Flandreau Public Schools and graduated in 1956 as valedictorian. Frank attended South Dakota School of Mines for one year and then worked for Goodman Produce. In September of 1972 Frank and his brother purchased Bar X Bar in Flandreau. He moved to Sioux Falls in 1990. Frank entered Riverview Manor in July of 2009.

Frank is survived by 3 brothers, Ed Hansen Sr., Marvin Hansen, Ralph (Glenda) Hansen all of Flandreau; 9 Nieces and nephews, Judy (Jim) Peterson, Janet (Berle) Johnson, Ed Hansen, Jr., JoAnn Sundermeyer, Joyce Doyle, Wesley Hansen, Tom Hansen, Karla (Brad) Bjerke and Kim Hansen all of Flandreau. Frank is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau with burial in the Union Cemetery, Flandreau. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday at Skroch Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.
