Everett C. Zellers, 93, died Monday, June 11, 2012 at Lutheran Home, Belle Plaine, MN.Everett was born on August 6, 1918 to Clyde and Elsie Marie (Sturgis) Zellers at Sioux Falls, SD. He grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School. Following high school, Everett graduated from Augustana College. Everett joined the U.S. Navy in 1941 where he served in WWII. On October 31, 1942 he married Eudora Marie Johnson in Norfolk, VA. Everett was honorably discharged in 1959. Everett pursued a teaching career and held a variety of teaching positions throughout SD and MN, retiring in 1980 from Edison High School in Minneapolis. Everett and Eudora moved to Flandreau, SD in 1980 where he was an avid gardener and horticulturist, an accomplished pianist and clarinetist. He touched and influenced many lives, young and old through this life. He will be missed terribly and never forgotten.

He is survived by his three daughters, Diane Zellers, Oakdale, MN, Joanne Beaudette, Huron, SD and Barbara (Mark) Bender, Isanti, MN, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Don Robinson, Florida. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Eudora Johnson Zellers; his parents and a brother, Duane Zellers.
