Evelyn Ingemann, 70, of Sioux Falls, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls. She was born January 30, 1946 in Moody County, SD, to Clifford and Lillian (Benson) Ingemann. She attended country school and graduated from Trent High School. Evelyn graduated from SDSU with a BS degree in nursing. In 1968 she began working in Minneapolis for two years, then Lexington, KY for 10 years, and Kansas City for 28 years specializing in intensive care and infectious control. Evelyn moved to Sioux Falls in 2014. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls, was an avid skier, officer in a Lexington Ski Club, and was a part owner of a hot air balloon. She traveled with Donald to Senior Games, spring training baseball camps, and several other trips, including Norway. Evelyn had season tickets to the KC Royals and KC Chiefs.

Evelyn is survived by her sister Lois Braun, Aberdeen, SD; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Marty) Link, Aberdeen; Linda (Jeff) Mock, Rochester, MN; Michael (Annette) Braun, Hastings, NE; Lachelle (Michael) Ashworth, Colleyville, TX; great-nieces and nephews, Justin (Ricki), Jamie, Jerry, DeAnna, Nicole, Nathan, and Cayla; great-great-nieces and nephews, Mason and Rylee. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Donald, an infant sister, brother-in-law Dean Braun and her dog and companion, Christy.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Messiah Lutheran Church, rural Trent, with burial in Oslo Cemetery, rural Trent. Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
