Elsie S. Hart, 98, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2009, in Davenport, IA. Elsie was born December 26, 1910, in Sanborn, ND, to Andrew and Anna (Ringenberger) Sauer.

Elsie is survived by her children, Tom (Dianne) Hart, Corvallis, OR; Marie (Tom) Mattison, Minneapolis, MN; Kathleen Guzzo, Bettendorf, IA; and Mark Hart and Terry Hart, both of Northfield, MN; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Hart; parents; all her siblings and her son-in-law, Thomas C. Guzzo.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Brookings. Lunch will be served at the church following the Mass. Elsie will be buried in Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Cemetery, Flandreau next to her husband, Thomas.
