Douglas Dennis Hahn, 62, of Flandreau, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls. Doug was born in Sioux Falls, S.D. on November 17, 1959 to Dennis and Shirley (Johnson) Hahn. He grew up in Flandreau and graduated from Flandreau High School in 1978. While in school he excelled in every sport but favored basketball and football. In his free time, he enjoyed fixing and painting cars and trucks and always took great care of his vehicles.

Doug, a known hard worker, held the same job for over 40 years as a construction worker for Gerald Johnson Plastering in Sioux Falls. When he wasn't working his regular job, he was constantly helping friends and family, and spending any and all his time with his three grandkids. Of course on Sundays you could always find him in his chair watching the Vikings.

Doug was a caretaker at heart and is remembered as a reliable, kind and gentle man who took pride and joy in his children and his precious grandchildren, who were his world. He always had time for his nieces, nephews, sisters and extended family.  He will be dearly missed by many and thought of often.

Doug is survived by his children: Daniel (Dana) Hahn, Flandreau; Alyssa Hahn, St. Paul, MN; Trevor Hahn; and Brenden Hahn, both of Flandreau; three grandchildren: Drevyn, Torrah, Everlee; his father, Dennis Hahn, Flandreau; three sisters: Nancy (Lester) Van Dyke, Kim (Terry) Welbig, both of Flandreau; and Tammy Hahn, Vienna, WV; and many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Hahn, an infant brother, David, and a grandson, Nash.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau. Livestream will be available on Doug's obituary page at www.skrochfc.com . Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau. Burial will be held at a later date.
