Dorothy M. Reed, 106, of Egan, SD passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Riverview Healthcare Community, Flandreau, SD. Dorothy was born July 15, 1916, at Flandreau, SD to Roland and Rena (Olson) Chamley. She was raised in Egan, SD where she attended Egan Public School. Dorothy married Clifford Reed in Sioux Falls, SD on December 17, 1935. They lived in Sioux Falls until 1946 when they moved to Egan. Dorothy was a cook for over 30 years at the Egan Public School. Her husband preceded her on July 24, 1989. She was a former member of the Egan United Methodist Church where she was very active. Dorothy was a member of Egan Senior Citizens, Ladies Cemetery Association, Egan American Legion Auxiliary, and enjoyed good music, high school athletics, and was an avid Twins fan.

Dorothy is survived by her son Gary (Susan) Reed, Sioux Falls; son-in-law Stan Richter, Madison, WI; four grandchildren, Cory Reed, Janna Richter, Jackie Richter, Jeff Richter; and seven great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded by her husband Cliff, daughter Marla, and six brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Egan Senior Citizen's Center at a later date.
