Dorothy "Peggy" L. Bisson, age 78, died Monday, August 13, 2012 at Riverview Health Services, Flandreau. Peggy was born April 22, 1934 at Sioux Falls, SD to Weldon and Rose (Madel) Robb. She grew up in Flandreau and graduated from Flandreau High School in 1953. On May 23, 1953 Peggy married Lester Bisson, Jr. at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Together they farmed southwest of Ward, SD. In 1955 Lester was drafted into the Army and they lived in Georgia and then Germany. They returned to Flandreau in 1956 and in 1964 Peggy began working at Flandreau Indian School until 1984. Peggy was a cook at Riverview Manor for a couple years and then worked at the Royal River Casino for 6 years until retiring in 1993. Peggy loved animals, raising puppies, shopping and spending time with her family. She was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church and a former member of the Catholic Daughters.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Lester Bisson, Jr., Flandreau, two children, Brenda (Randy) Bovill, Pueblo, CO, Bruce Bisson, Egan, SD; 2 grandchildren, Gerald and Connie; 5 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Bruns, Burke, SD. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters, Isabelle Cox, Arlene Hoffman and Ellen Mansfield.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Flandreau. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
