Dorothy Krull, 92 passed away Wednesday, October 2nd 2013 at Avera Medical Center, Flandreau. Dorothy was born on January 18, 1921 to Albert and Eunice (Cook) Jones in Wagner, SD. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School then later attended General Beadle College in Madison SD. She married Wayne Wyant in 1939 and relocated to Bringham City Utah. While living in Utah, they had 3 children; Dewyane, Ronnie, and Loretta. Dorothy then moved to Fort Pierre SD and married Harold Krull in 1957. They then had a son, Gregory, and relocated to Flandreau, SD where she started working at the Flandreau Indian School from 1963-1987. This is where Dorothy touched so many young women's lives and had a significant impact on many. Dorothy's love for God is shown through her family and friends. She loved providing meals for various racing teams. She also enjoyed photography, cooking, music, sewing and embroidery. Many knew Dorothy for her classy appearance and her giving heart. Her professional mannner and impact she made on so many people will never be forgotten.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Loretta Murphy, Sioux City IA, and her son Gregory (Carri) Krull, Flandreau SD. Grandchildren, Jeff (Kathy) Wyant, Brad Wyant, Mike Murphy, Dan (Kris) Murphy, Laura Pinney, Justin (Kristina) Krull, Mandie (Blaine) Maeschen, and Tanya (Cory) Krull, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold Krull, 2 sons Dewyane and Ronnie, her parents, 1 brother, and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will 10:30 am Monday, October 7, at 2nd Presbyterian Church, Flandreau. Visisitation from 3:00-5:00 pm Sunday with a 5:00 pm prayer service at Skroch Funeral Chapel.
