Dorothy L. Green, 99, of Flandreau, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Dorothy Luella was born in Sioux Falls, SD, on May 16, 1919 to John and Nellie (Beaudette) Thill. She married Arthur Green May 1, 1948 in Sioux Falls and they moved to a farm northeast of Flandreau. In 1979 they moved into Flandreau. She worked in the grocery store and enjoyed all the people who came in. She loved country western music, talking on the phone, telling stories and jokes, the Atlanta Braves baseball team and being with family and friends. Dorothy had 3 children: Edith (Raymond) Hansen, Manitou Springs, CO, Ronald (Jean) Green, Flandreau and Leonard (Elaine) Green, Plant City, FL.

She is survived by her daughter Edith, son Leonard, daughter-in-law Elaine; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, two infant babies, James Arthur and Patricia Irene, son Ronald and daughter-in-law Jean, son-in-law Raymond, parents and sister Marie (Elgin).

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the United Methodist Church, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery, Flandreau. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Skroch Funeral Chapel.
