Dennis Boyd Erickson, son of Ralph and Opal (Olson) Erickson was born in Pipestone, MN on June 19, 1947, same as his brother Roger, only his in 1945! Dennis received his primary education from his older sisters and then attended Thompson Grade School. He graduated from Flandreau High School in 1965 where he enjoyed sports more than classrooms. Dennis entered USAF on July 1, 1966, honorably discharged April 30, 1970. He married Peggy O'Neill in 1972 and they were blessed with a marvelous son, Aaron Francis, on November 9, 1972. They were divorced in 1987 but remained friends. Denny married his best friend, Faith LuVerne, on June 17, 2000. (Lucky him) He loved life, family, friends, sports, singing (imagine that!) and Jesus. Denny lived everyday like it could be his last and eventually he was right again!  See Ya'All Later!!

Denny is survived by his wife Faith, grandchildren, Macey, Tyler, and Brayden Erickson; sisters, Beverly Jensen, Janice Erickson, and Rosemary Van Buren (Tom); brothers, Roger and Steven Erickson; brothers-in-law, Randy, Frank, Russell and David Barse; sisters-in-law, Veronic Oseola, Brenda Barse, Peggy (Darrel) DeCoteau, Connie (Dean) Abraham, Anita Barse and Donna Barse; and special friends, Lloyd and Jeannette Schipper and "MIKE" - microphones!!  Denny was preceded in death by his son Aaron Erickson, parents, Ralph and Opal  Erickson; two brothers-in-law, Ron Van Buren and Richard Jensen; J.J. Larson and Tyler Wenzel.

Memorial services and a Celebration of Life for Denny and his son Aaron will be held at the gymnasium in Trent, SD on July 4, 2021 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
