Deloris E. Snuggerud, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Good Samaritan Society, Pipestone, MN. She was born May 23, 1922, in Luverne, MN to Adolph and Mary (Petersen)Beyer. She attended Tidd Country School and graduated from Egan High School in 1940. Then she attended Sioux Valley Nursing School. Deloris married Luverne Snuggerud on March 11, 1944 at Egan, SD and they farmed in Moody County. She was a farm wife and raised five children. They moved into Flandreau in 1996 and her husband preceded her in death on June 29, 2005. Deloris was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lone Rock and WELCA. She enjoyed cross stitching and made dish cloths that she loved giving away. Deloris also enjoyed baking Christmas goodies, lefse, krumkake and other Norwegian goodies.

Deloris is survived by five children, LeRoy (Chris), Hastings, MN, Leslie (Kay) La Crescent, MN, Gary (Cleo), Renner, SD, Arvin (Sue), Omaha, NE, Darla (Rusty) Hartke, Pipestone, MN, 10 grandchildren, Cheryl, Stefanie, Chad, Steve, Ryan, Wade, Bernt, Audra, Derek, Matthew, seven great-grandchildren, Paige, Kaile, Austin, Brieanna, Blake, Emmett, Kate, three sisters, Evelyn Biteler, Phyllis Ailts and Verla Mae Beyer, sister-in-law Lillian Tjarks, all of Flandreau and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother Art.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:30 pm Friday at Skroch Funeral Chapel.
