Delores R. Herrick, 74, of Watertown, SD, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Jenkins Living Center, Watertown. Delores was born July 29, 1942 in Brookings, SD to James E. and Beulah F. (Sanders) Ward. She received her education in Brookings. Delores married Edward Herrick on October 9, 1960 at Brookings. They farmed near White, SD and moved to a farm south of Flandreau in 1967. Delores received her GED from Madison, SD, as an honor student. In 1988 they moved to Aberdeen where she was a factory worker. They moved to Watertown in 1991 and she continued as a factory worker until her retirement. She enjoyed reading and arts and crafts.


Delores is survived by her husband Edward, Watertown; three children, Douglas (Sandra), Clark, SD; Debra Herrick, Hardwick, MN; Richard (Karen), Watertown; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one sister Marsha (Ron) Kramer, Elkton, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter Brittney, two sisters and five brothers.
