Delores M. Grafing, 88, formerly of Flandreau, SD, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at home in Blue Grass, IA. Delores was born February 8, 1927 in Moody County, SD to Lawrence and Hertha (Gothier) Carlson. She was educated in rural country schools, spent 1½ years attending Egan High School before graduating from Flandreau High School in 1945. Delores worked at the Flandreau Creamery, Billam's small uptown store, Don Haag T.V. and the Flandreau Bakery. Delores married Harvey Grafing on September 3, 1946 at Flandreau, SD. They had one daughter Kathy. Harvey preceded her in death on August 11, 1994. Delores moved to Blue Grass, IA in May 2006 to be close to her family. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Flandreau.

Delores is survived by her daughter Kathy (David) Garrow, Blue Grass, IA, one granddaughter Kelly (Matt Van Acker) Jensen, Chicago, IL, and one sister Linda Olsen, Englewood, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother Ronald.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday July 24, 2015 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, SD, with burial in Union Cemetery, Flandreau. Memorials may given to Genesis Hospice, Davenport, IA.
