David P. Sampson, 59, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at his home in Sioux Falls. David was born May 12, 1951 at Flandreau, SD to Lyndle and Kathryn (Mock) Sampson. Dave was educated in Flandreau and graduated from Flandreau High School in 1969. He attended the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City. Dave married Catherine Cullen on May 23, 1974 at Flandreau, SD. Dave worked for Gehl Industries in Madison for 19 years. He managed and worked for several manufacturing companies most recently at LodgeNet in Sioux Falls. Dave was a Green Bay Packers fan, a gun enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, the oldies music, was a history buff and enjoyed reading. Dave was a life member of the NRA.

Dave is survived by 3 sons, Casey (Stephanie) Sampson, Brookings, Cory (Lisa) Sampson, Flandreau, Kyle (Heather) Sampson, Sioux Falls; 2 grandchildren, Miranda, Haley; mother, Kathryn Sampson, Sioux Falls; 3 brothers, Steven Sampson, Flandreau, Dr. Paul (Trisha) Sampson, Sioux Falls, Mark (Beth) Sampson, Plankinton and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father.

Memorial service will be Monday at 11:00 AM at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
