David "Dave" Earl Fuhs was born March 24, 1946, to Melvin Earl and Mildred Evelyn (Hanson) Fuhs in Flandreau, SD.  He passed on February 7, 2025 in Erick, OK at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 14 days.

Dave grew up and attended school in Flandreau, SD.  It is here he met and married Jean Nass in 1963.  They had three children: Kevin, Dawn, and Tammy.  He attended Pipestone Vo-Tech, where he learned the skill of meat cutting.  This trade brought him to Albert Lea, MN, where he was employed by Boyd and Jack's Super Valu.  He later met and married Elizabeth (Wick) Spooner in Albert Lea, MN.  They moved to Colorado Springs, CO and re-located to Erick, OK, where they made their home and operated the Branding Iron Bar.

Dave loved socializing at his business and made many life-long friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Fuhs; parents, Melvin and Mildred Fuhs; stepson, Rodney Spooner.

Dave is survived by his children; Kevin (Brenda) Fuhs, Woodland, NC, Dawn Fuhs and significant other, Rob Allen of Erick, OK, Tammy (Destry) Foyte, Hastings, MN; grandchildren: Wendy, Rusty, Tiffany, Kenny, Brittany, Tyler and Tristan; 11 great-grandchildren; step-children, Leanne (Jim) Brown, Jason (Jessica) Spooner, all of Minnesota; 11 step-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Sandy) Fuhs, Sioux Falls, SD; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

At Dave's request, there will be no services.
