Carrie C. Anderson, 93, died Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Riverview Manor, Flandreau. She was born January 31, 1916 in Adams County, ND to Wilhelm and Katie (Ehli) Christman. She received her education in Petrel, ND and was married to Edwin Anderson on September 26, 1935. They moved to Moody County, SD and lived 1 mile west and 4 miles south of Ward, SD. They moved to Des Plaines, IL in 1964 where she worked at K-Mart. Her husband preceded her in death on June 30, 1988. Carrie moved back to Moody County in 2003 and became a resident at Riverview Manor in 2004. She enjoyed her family, gardening, cooking, crocheting and knitting and playing the piano. Carrie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ward and Ladies Aid.

Carrie is survived by 4 sons, Leon (Bobbie) Anderson, McHenry, IL, LeRoy Anderson, Ward, LaVerne Anderson, Brookings, Larry Anderson, Ward; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; and 1 sister, Ester Wall, Cambridge, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, parents, 2 infant siblings and 4 brothers, John, August, Rhieny and Jacob.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 7:00 pm at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with visitation starting at 4:00 pm Tuesday. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights, IL.
