Bruce Edward Millman, 75, of Flandreau, SD, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Riverview Healthcare Center. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Second Presbyterian Church in Flandreau, SD. The family will be present for visitation one hour prior to the memorial service.

Bruce was born on August 17, 1950, to Grayson Millman and Ida (Fath) Millman. He grew up with his older sister, Carolyn “Cam” Millman, and spent most of his life in Flandreau, South Dakota. He graduated from Flandreau High School with the Class of 1968 and later attended Southeast Technical Institute for truck driving.

Trucking was a large part of Bruce’s life. His son recalls Bruce getting his first trucking job and running around the house with excitement, adamant that he needed to leave that very day. Throughout his career, Bruce drove both over the road and locally, hauling grain and gravel. He was especially proud that trucking had taken him to all 48 of the lower states.

Bruce was the proud father of three sons, Jim, Wayne, and Charlie. Outside of trucking, he enjoyed tinkering with vehicles and watching dirt track racing at Huset’s Speedway and Lake County Speedway. He was also a longtime usher at Second Presbyterian Church in Flandreau.

Bruce shared his love of trucks and vehicles with his sons, especially Charlie and Wayne. Sports were never particularly his thing, but he did his best to support his sons’ interests. He attended Charlie’s football games and once set out to buy Jim a Dallas Cowboys jersey. Not being very familiar with the team however, Bruce accidentally came home with a Wyoming Cowboys jersey instead, but Jim appreciated the effort.

Bruce is survived by his sons, Jim (Julie) Millman and their children, Logan (Alexus), Leah, and Grayson; Wayne (Angela) Millman and his children, Levi and Lillian; and Charlie (Tiffany) Millman and their children, Luke, Cooper, and William; and his great-grandchild, Athena, daughter of Levi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grayson and Ida (Fath) Millman, and his sister, Carolyn “Cam” Millman.
