Brenda Kay Crowe, age 67, of Flandreau, SD, passed away at Riverview Healthcare Community on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 am at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau with visitation starting one hour prior.

Brenda Kay (Meakins) Crowe was born on February 19, 1953 to Jack and Wanda (Holmes) Meakins in Topeka, KS. She grew up in Kansas and moved to South Dakota as a young adult. She began working at Paul's Shurfine in Colman and Flandreau and after many years, she started working at the Royal River Casino. Another career change, led Brenda to meet her beloved husband, Jeff Crowe, at their mutual place of work, Hutchinson Technology in Sioux Falls. The couple also worked together at Daktronics, and eventually, Brenda was relieved from her duties due to health issues. Brenda and Jeff were married in Flandreau, SD on December 8, 2009. Brenda was involved with the local Jaycee chapter. She loved going to bingo, acquiring new pieces to her various collections, and decorating for the holidays. Those that loved Brenda will remember her good sense of humor, enthusiasm for life, and love for her dogs.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Jeff Crowe; her mother, Wanda Meakins; her siblings: Gerald (Cora) Meakins, Shirley Meakins, Susan Desch, and Darrell (Pam) Meakins; her mother-in-law, Janet Crowe; five brothers-in-law; and  2 sisters-in-law; and several aunts, uncles, extended relatives, and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Jack Meakins, her grandparents, and her father-in-law, Bob Crowe.
