Betty Lou Brooks, 67, Sioux Falls, formerly of Box Elder, SD died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Avera McKennan Hospital. Betty Lou was born on July 28, 1940 at Twin Brooks, SD to Oscar and Eva (Kozak) Adolphson. She was educated in the Milbank, SD area and later Betty Lou worked as a daycare provider. Betty Lou married Paul Brooks on October 17, 1974 in Madison, SD and they lived in Box Elder, SD. They moved to Sioux Falls in 1996 and Paul died on February 1, 1998. She has been a resident at Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls.


Betty Lou is survived by her siblings: Jayne (Warren) Anderson, Brookings; Opal Kockx, Minneapolis, MN; Dale (Norene) Adolphson, Colman; Jan (Ken) Ross, Colman and Derald Adolphson, Colman and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and four siblings, Gerald, Irene, Larry and Dennis.


Private family funeral services will be held.
