Bernard "Barney" Eggerud, 76, died Saturday at Riverview Manor. He was born July 5, 1932 in Pipestone County, MN to Olie and Mary (Rasmussen) Eggerud. He attended a Pipestone country school. He enlisted in the army during the Korean War and after his discharge returned to South Dakota. He lived in Ft. Meade for many years before moving to Flandreau. He is survived by one brother, Harold (Irene) Eggerud, Blaine, MN; and two sisters, Sylvia Eggerud, Trent, SD and Helen Spencer, South San Gabriel, CA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Curtis and Orlin and a sister, Mildred.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel with burial in Bethania Cemetery, rural Trent. Visitation begins at 10:00 am Wednesday.
