Barbara A. Mohror, 72, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Avera Flandreau Medical Center. She was born December 12, 1939 in Flandreau, SD to William and Martha (Johnson) Thom. She graduated from Flandreau High School in 1957 and worked at SDSU in Brookings, SD as a secretary in the Animal Science Department. Barbara married Douglas Mohror on December 4, 1960 in Flandreau, SD. They also lived in Brookings and Dell Rapids, SD. Barbara moved to Mitchell, SD where she worked in fast food restaurants until she moved to Flandreau in 2005.

Barbara is survived by two children, Cheryl (CJ) Johnston, Girard, KS, Curtis (Mae) Mohror, Flandreau, SD, five grandchildren, John, Jessica, Shawn, Katrina and Mitchell, two great grand children, Tyson and Lexie, one sister Mary Dean Janklow, Sioux Falls, one brother Francis (Jean) Thom, Centerville, IA and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Marjorie.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau with burial in Union Cemetery. Memorials to Moody County Museum, Crystal Theatre or South Dakota Public TV.
