Barbara Jo Johnson, 71, of Egan, SD passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her home. Barbara was born April 2, 1949 at Flandreau, SD to Desmond and Edna (Peper) Johnson. She was raised in Egan and graduated from Egan High School in 1967. Barbara worked at Riverview Manor in Flandreau and in 1974 began working at 3M in Brookings, SD. After retiring from 3M in 2007 she continued to live in Egan. Barbara enjoyed her dogs, Jack and Dixie, and spending time with her granddaughters and sisters.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Jodi (DJ) Geraets, Flandreau; two granddaughters, Bailey and Brenna; four siblings, Rodney Johnson, Egan; Gloria (Jim) Houg, Brandon, SD; Sue Lahr, Egan; Steven (Beth) Johnson, Sioux Falls; aunt and uncle, Noreen and Mel Podolske; and sister-in-law Mary Johnson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dennis and three nephews, Anthony, Travis and Tobin.

Private family services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Skroch Funeral Chapel with burial in Hillside Cemetery, Egan, SD. The service will by live streamed on Skroch Funeral Chapel website.
