Audrey P. Sample, 87, of Flandreau, SD peacefully went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2022. Audrey Pearl (Friman) Sample was born on August 4, 1935, to Eldo and Gladys (Benson) Friman near Hurley, SD, number 11 of 15 kids. Audrey graduated from Hurley High School and then attended the South Dakota Beauty Academy in Sioux Falls, SD. Audrey met George Sample in Parkston, SD while working as a beauty operator. George and Audrey were married on June 14, 1959, in Parkston, SD. They had six children, Randy, Bret, Keith, Jody, Bart, and Will. Audrey was a home maker most of her life. They traveled extensively making Flandreau, SD their home in 2006. As her final gift to her family, Audrey said "I poured out my life caring for my family. I gave each of you my love. I have lived a full life and I want my husband, my children, my grandchildren, and my great- grandchildren to know that I have and will always love you. My family was my life."

Audrey is survived by her husband George, Flandreau; children, Randy, Sioux Falls, SD; Bret (special friend Brenda), McGregor, MN; Keith (Melissa), Rogers, AR; Jody (Scott) Holtgrewe, Garfield, AR; Bart (Cassandra), Flandreau; Will (Silja), Rogers, AR; grandchildren, Vanessa, Amanda, Samantha, Brittany, Alexander, Neil, Joshua, Colton, Sarah, Zachary, Jared, Will, Robyn, Rachel, Mackenzie, and Reagan; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Cole, Peyton, Henry, Gunner, Wrenly, Mason, Louis, Olive and Zada; two sisters, Margaret Adel, White SD; Genette Rusk, Flandreau; and one sister-in-law Dorothy Friman, Tripp, SD. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, nine sisters, 10 brothers-in-law and one sister in-law.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Flandreau with visitation on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 6:30 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:30 pm at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
