Anthony Kipp White Cloud "Shunka Duta" (Red Dog) was born July 23, 1955 in Ft. Kipp, MT to Perry and Carmelita (White Cloud) Many Wounds. He went to school in Williston, ND and was raised by his Aunt Aurelia and Uncle Jerry White Cloud. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Kipp married Cyndy Hall on January 7, 2005 through a traditional ceremony. Kipp was a fancy dancer in his younger years and then became a traditional dancer. Throughout his life, Kipp enjoyed being on the pow-wow trail where he was a champion traditional dancer where he competed throughout the U.S. and Canada. He made many lifelong friends. He was an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Kipp will be remembered for his humor, big heart and compassion for his people. He always had a big smile, cup of coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other.
Kipp is survived by two children, Kim (Lorne) Walking Hawk, AJ (Nicole) White Cloud, 8 grandchildren, his adopted mother Della Shepard, adopted son, Lance White, adopted parents Domique and Leanne Red Water, siblings, Darrell White Cloud, Bill Many Wounds, Cheryl White Cloud, Bernadine White, Tracey Many Wounds, Nita Many Wounds, Jackie White Cloud, Marie Many Wounds, John Eagle, Terry (Marcy) Fiddler, Ronnie (Lillian) Good Eagle, Londel (Leatrice) Seaboy, cousin Dwayne White Cloud, and all the adopted families and grandchildren, Sharnelle Seaboy, Jerome (Cher) Guy Coughlin, Pratt Family, Sioux Valley, Shepard Family, Sisseton, Marins Family,Grand Forks, Chopper Family, Ft. Kipp, Gray Hawk Family, Poplar, and Black Dog Family, Ft. Kipp.

The family would like to acknowledge all friends and family, too numerous to mention, and show our apologies for anyone that was missed. A special thanks to Kit Fox Society of Sisseton for all of their help.

Services will be 10:00 am Monday, November 24, 2014 at James Black Dog Hall, Ft. Kipp, Montana.
