Alma Anna Brown passed away June 27, 2016 at the age of 96 at St Therese in New Hope, MN after being there for about a year. She was born Nov. 27, 1919 In Long Prairie, MN to her parents Herman Friedrick Stuefen and Clara Marie Seymour. Her parents moved to Verdi, MN around 1932 about the time she was in the 4th grade. While attending school she met Dale Wayne Brown and they were married Dec. 25, 1939 in Lake Benton, MN. In March of 1940 they moved to a farm 4 miles north of Elkton, SD where they farmed until Jan. 1955 when they moved to Sioux Falls, SD. She moved to the Minneapolis area in January of 1996 after the death of Dale.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale Brown (July, 13 1995) one grandson Chad Brown and one great grandson Adam Michael Brown. She is survived by her three sons Lary (Patsy) Brown, Rives Junction, MI; Alan (Alice)Brown, Rapid City, SD; and L. Dean (Kathy) Brown, Maple Grove, MN; 9 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, and grandmother.

Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Elkton City Cemetery.
