Alice J. Williamson, 74, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls. She was born on December 2, 1937 in Omaha, NE to Oliver and Margaret (Healey) Nelson. She lived in Chester and Dell Rapids, SD and went to Dell Rapids St. Mary's and Dell Rapids Public Schools. She married Richard Jewett in Dell Rapids in 1955 and later divorced; married Robert Kelch in Lake Benton, MN in 1965 and later divorced and then married Ralph Williamson on April 25, 1975 at Dell Rapids who preceded her in death on August 2, 2001. Alice worked at the Flandreau Hospital, Terrace Manor, was an egg candler in Flandreau. She worked for grocery stores, several restaurants, and managed apartments for several years in Waseca, MN, Santa Ana, CA, Sioux Falls. Alice also worked at Brown Printing, Waseca and B.J. Bindery, Santa Ana. She moved back to Waseca in 2000 and was caretaker of an apartment until moving to Sioux Falls and then Flandreau. Alice loved music, people and having coffee company.

Alice is survived by 3 children: Kathy Kastens and Larry Jewett, both of Waseca, Mark Jewett, Brookings, SD, 4 grandsons: Jamie (Jen) Nace, Waseca, Shaun (friend Shaghayegh) Nace, San Diego, CA, Samuel and Rob Jewett, New Richland, MN, 4 great-grandchildren, Devyn, Aidan, Ashton and Harper Nace, Waseca and lots of special people, friends and relatives. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, son, Robert Kelch, Jr, her parents and stepfather, Arthur Frederickson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, Egan, SD. Visitation is from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm on Thursday.
