Obituary

Alice was born April 23, 1934 in Elkton, SD to August and Phoebe (Booth) Hartwig. She graduated from Elkton High School in 1952 and was married to Bruce Kinner on October 25, 1953 in Elkton. She was a farm wife but also worked at SDSU in Brookings and then at Royal River Casino in Flandreau for eight years. Alice was a lifetime member of United Parish of Elkton and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Lake Benton Post #10. She liked playing cards, having lunch with friends and she loved her family and her pugs. She also loved to shop and had several different types of collections.

Alice is survived by her husband, Bruce; three children, Bradley Kinner, Mounds View, MN, Brenda (Tom) Wurzberger, Hutchinson, MN and Brian (Michelle) Kinner, Tea, SD; and seven grandchildren, Bayley Kinner, Braxton Kinner, Zoe Kinner, Nick Draper, Brooke Draper, Lexi Wurzberger and Dylan Wurzberger. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 16, 2010 at United Parish of Elkton with burial in Lake Benton Memorial Hill Cemetery, Lake Benton, MN. Visitation begins at 4:00 pm Friday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Elkton, with a 7:00 pm prayer service.
